Read my tyre wear (track)

Evening guys,

Just been out to the garage to have a look at my car after my trackday the other week (Oulton)

I had a look at the front passenger side tyre and this drawing is a representation of what I found.

OK I'm not an artist!




Now what I think I have there is too much tyre pressure and too little - ve camber?


Am I right?

tyres will have ballooned in the middle causing this sort of wear.

Are they the k21 Soft?

I'm probably being a little harsh when I say that, because they aren't cheap are they. But no not a fan really.

See the pattern difference in this pic, Yours on the left have two cut outs around the middle, this will cause the trad blocks to move, and go out of shape, more so when over inflated.

Believe it or not they are hard k29 is it?

But you are right they were cheap although also bought with damp use in mind.

Grip wasn't bad considering the now obvious failings in my setup
