really getting f***ed off now ,need ideas please

  S'trollin on size 7s
searched on here and everyone seems to say the same thing when removing the side strips
" rear push toward the front ,and front push towards the rear"

i just dont understand how the hell your meant to get any kind of grip on them to be able to get any force behind them to get them off, its like running your hands flat down a glass table..pissin in the b**tard wind!! lol
ive tried a screwdriver through the gap near the lock but that did naff all either.

need some ideas because im really at the end of my patience with them.

thanks
Graeme

Short sharp bang in the required direction and they come off piece of piss!

yea but theres no decent surface area to apply the pressure of a short sharp bang.lol
the pressure will just go against the door rather than parralel with due to them been so flush. it if you get what i mean.

i had a screwdriver in one of the gaps where the bullets were ,pushing like mad, still no luck.

Ok this is weird.

I'm telling you how to do it (Because i've removed about 1000 of them) and your telling me I'm doing it wrong... :S

Have you undone the plug inside the door and pressed the pin in?

The rear ones just slide to the front like daniel said 'give em a bang'

The fronts go backwards towards the rear of the car and the rears go forwards towards the bonnet... afaicr
Piece of wood on each end, give it a sharp tap with a hammer and they should come off...

yea this is what i dont understand. the flat bit where i could put a piece of wood against to give it a whack is at the wrong end. the end i need to whak them from goes to a rounded off curve and is practically flush to the door. theres nothing there for any wood or what have ya to sit against .!??

There is a clip that holds it to the car and below that a black bung that also fits into the door, press the bottom one in and pull back. Don't press the top one in, it'll do nothing. Use a flat head screwdriver and it'll have to go in at this '/' angle to press it in.

Put the bit of wood at more of an angle... 45 degrees or so... FFS!

best one ive got where strips are visable. (the bullets arent on it anymore) i can try wood agaisnt a slight flush bit under where the bullets were, but the back ,i dont see where any wood would sit to get decent surface area.

I was bored on Sunday sat on the edge of my car... thought I would have a go at the strips I just got my fingers around where the strip curves (at the front) and pulled backwards and it eventually slid out :/

If you have no bullets anymore, put a piece of wood against the flat edge where the bullet would end and meet the strip. Sharp tap and they should come off.

It really is very easy :)

i wish mine were that easy, it just ragged my fingers trying to pull them off with my bare hands. wouldnt budge.

On the front ones, if theres no bullets, you can get a bit of wood and tap them backwards, sorted.

The rear ones, get the palm of your hand on the strip, closest to the back of the car. pull back 6 inches.... FIRE! Aim in towards the car and forward at the same time. They'll come off.

They can be a "little" stubborn but nothing like what you are explaining lol I literally just open the door, grab the lip on the bullet and push forward lol

yea im begining to wonder if theyve been glued. ill try the wood buisness as best i can tommorow anyway, see how i get on.
