Really starting to annoy me know. Boot skweek!

  ph1 172 Black
Ok here goes.

I took the parcel shelf off. The plastic panel off boot lid. Dropped seats forward and I can still hear a noticealbe skweek for rear of car. As go over speed humps it's most noticeable. Sometimes it's goes but always comes back.
Tried pulling things around rocking car etc and no noise. Start driving an the it is.

PLEASE someone help fix this so I can move on to the quieter rattle in my drivers door that is also getting on my nerves.

Thanks!

Oh right. I put some extra rubbers in the exhuast holder to stop it knocking. When I shake it, it doesn't squeek. Need the rubber bits in to stop it knocking.
If I spray it with WD40 would it be a temporary test to stop the squeek?

when the boot is shut, try pressing down on the boot lid, if you can hear a knocking/sqeeking noise then most probably your boot is loose.
Simply loosen the boot catch, then move it up/down and tighten it back up.

I had a similar noise on my old clio, which turned out to be the boot needing tightening

Yeah but Volume has to hit 18 on CD to drown out and I've taken parcel shelf out. Must be a solution!

Bracket moved as far forward (towards engine) as will go and seems ok so far. Hurray!!

Is that metal loop suppose to go up and down though?

I had something squeaking in the boot of my clio. Turned out on of the shocks was nackered and was rubbing on the car body. Fitted a new shock and solved the problem.
