Hi all

My Valver Battery light comes on 100% when my car goes 3000+ rpm, I had a mechanic take a look and he used some testing thing to check my Altenator which reported back fine, and then checked my belt which was tight, so he said i should change the battery which i did and its still doing it :( arhh please can anyone help this is my only mode of transport :(

its usually the opposite way around if its the alternator, as in you can sometimes get it to go out if you rev it

  Mint Clio Valver!
shame, this problem sounds far too familiar with my valver at the mo. what's the cost of sorting your alternator out?

I had that problem in my valver coz the plastic bit which secures your wires down on the positive side of the battery kept cominig loose...dont know if this helps.

why? the valver alternators are around 65-70 amp iirc
I presume that they're designed for standard cars running all the gadgets at the same time, but when you've got a radar detector and a half decent stereo going, along with uprated bulbs and having to put the fan on as it's so bloody cold, it does tend to suck a lot of power!

I'd rather have some in reserve! lol
