Rear brakes making a noise on a r27

I have just purchased a r27 (Clio 197). When I took it out for a test drive the rear breaks were making a squiring noise when I was stood still in traffic and moving slowly forward and breaking. Is this noise a problem all is it just that the brakes are not run in properly and the car has been sitting in the show room. The dealer has told me there is no visible problem
The car has been sitting in the show room for some time.

This is very common on the 197, and is well documented over on renaultsport.co.uk.
I had it on mine, for example when approaching a set of traffic lights and breaking lightly with little pressure on the pedal, the last 5 - 0 mph made a noise.

This wore off on mine at around 700 miles, which is about average but some people have still had it at around 1500 mile.

Try doing some heavy breaking.
