Rear Camber Shims.

Never adjusted camber on the rear of a car before so whilst im replacing the rear brakes I thought it would be the perfect chance to add camber shims.

But I don't know much about them, what the difference in feel would be like, and whether they're worth it or even make a difference.

So I'm asking for your opinons please.

My cas is just a track toy, currently have about -3 degrees camber on the front. But I do have some ASTs on the way and these will be getting fitted at the same time too.

So, what benefit will I get with camber shims? What size/degrees would you go for? What feel will it give me, more oversteer or understeer?

Also what brand/place is the best to get them from?

Basically tell me what you know ;)

Have you put the Clio on a Hunter system yet Martin to get a base read out?

As quite often the rears might have different camber from knocks over the years so you may need half a degree one side but more the other to get it to match up

If you get what I mean...

Cheers Jon, yeah I get what you mean. Kelv already explained this to me. I need to dig out the last lot of alignment paperwork I have, if not I'll get it checked again before hand :)

whizz it down to me when you get chance, we can drop in at my mates and pop it on his hunter setup to give you an idea what you have, we can then work out what you need to order to get the rear where you would like it.
