Rear disk replacement

  clio trophy No56
Has anyone replaced their rear disks themselves?
If so how easy is it to remove the ABS ring and bearing and fit to the new disk?

A step by step guide would be mint, i have searched the forum but cant find anything.
My car is a 05 plate Trophy.
Cheers

Is it easy to remove the bearing from the old disk?
Also does the ABS ring fit easy over the new disk?

you'll find that the abs ring is a bit bigger than the aftermarket rear disc ( where it sits ) so it will spin around, id put something on the ring inner edge to stop it moving.... i used exhaust paste as it goes hard when it dry's !!! no problem with it at all...

I got a brand new set off of ebay from here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300213082153 free postage and they arrived next day still sealed in the box and much cheaper then you can get them anywhere else. Make sure you get some new pads too.

Edit: Forgot to say they are very easy to change but I did have to use a metres worth of socket extensions to get enough torque to get the hub nut off!!

  Lots of Alfas
You will probably destroy the bearing pressing it out the old disk. Best bet is to buy the renault disks with the bearings in or buy new bearings for your disks. The bearings dont last long anyway.

you answered your own question.. you need a press

can be done with threaded rod/big sockets etc but not worth the sodding about
