Rear Lights, Are these legal???

Right, I love these lights below, but not sure if they are legal and would pass an MOT. Does anyone know??

If they're E marked then yes they're legal. personally i don't like them but each to their own and all that

They are standard lights but tinted, that's all - they'd need to still be the correct colours when in use (ie they must still be red when breaking)

Yeah but the ones at the top are sold as E marked and legal, where the ones below are marked as legal due to the reflector still being clearly visible.

If they are both legal then I'll get the ones at the top.

The top ones AREN'T legal unless the vehicle is fitted with aftermarket red reflectors. The reflective section on those is obscured by the tinting.

So I could fit deflectors somewhere else on the rear of the car and then buy them?

Yes, fit small red reflectors on the bumper for example, directly under the light clusters and it will be legal again
