Rear Pads - Normal or DS2500?

Was thinking DS2500 would be over kill seeing as the rears don't do much.

What are your thoughts?

Not worth it. The rears wont get hot enough to be effective, meaning they'll likely offer less braking than the originals.

Unless it's a track only car, don't bother.

It is a track only car.

I'm sure I read somewhere that even the track guys just stick the cheapest pads possible in the rear anyway though.

Normal, the rear pads do not do mush work to stop the car, and putting DS2500 on the back would be a waste. But if you have upgraded the back calipares, then it might be worth the upgrade.

It is a track only car.

You won't really notice it to be honest mate, just means you may possibly find the rear end is a bit more lively until they heat up.

I've gone from CL 5's to standard pads on the rear and the CL 5's made quite a bit of difference in braking.

Yeah CL 5 on the rear and CL 6 on the front

I've got a pair of EBC yellow's in the rear, they've been in since the car was built, still plenty left on them.

Might go for some DS2500 then. I won't need CLs on the rear, especially as I only have DS2500 on the front currently.

Guess they should be better than standard.

I've got DS2500 in the rear of mine. As said, it is negligible but they last ages and when you do want that negligible bit more....

I get EBC really cheap thats why I used them.
