Rear quarter

  Clio's
How much approximately does it cost to get a rear quarter replaced completely welded in and painted?

you coul be looking in the region of about £1500,the panel its self wont exactly be cheap.

I dont want a brand new panel from renault i thought you would be able to pick them up from lads of scrappys considering how common they are

you prob could get one from a scrappy but you woul have to take it off yourself and there is a good chance you will damage it taking it off because ull have to do things like drilling spot welds out and you would have to take the window out aswell so you would be aswell to buy one brand new.

  Some of a Clio 1.8 16v
Yeah you'd be very hard pushed to source second hand quarter in my 10 yaers working in bodyshops i've never seen anyone fit a used one. Quarters are also a very involved job to swap taking around a day to replace properly then you've got paint and theres quite a lot needs to be stripped and fitted so none of the trim gets burned etc. As said expect about a grand and a half for a good quality job.

I know someone who had a second hand rear quarter on thier car and the work looks professional. i have seen quite a few rear quarters at scrap yards cut off and ready to be collected.

i bought a 2nd hand quarter for my old clio for £25 but i never got round to taking it off. in the end i decided it would just be easier to buy a new one and fit it

ide say you could get it done for about 1k, maybe less maybe, more, depends where you go.

dont go to a big place as the labour costs will be extortionate. try small reputable bodyshops and get some quotes.
