rear Registration light corrosion

[M90 HRF]

I noticed my rear registration light was out and had a look at it to find the connecting pin that go into the bulb holder had completely rusted over and snapped off, as a result of this i need to change both the connector and the holder itself.

does the connector of the rear registration light come away separate (the hole wire) or is it the connection that i need to change ( had a look i dont see how the wires come out of the connector)

if i knew how to disconnect the connector from the wires i could just change it with one from a scrappy
