Rear right caliper issue

My 182's rear right brake doesn't seem to be working properly. My brake pedal feels a little spongey so we changed the fluid but this didn't fix it. The car was due a rear pad and disc change so we changed these and both rear calipers, rear lines (direct into caliper part) and also fitted braided hoses all round.

It's all lovely and shiny underneath but the rear right brakes are still not working properly fml. On a heavy footed test of stamping on the brakes, the fronts and left rear discs are red hot, but the right rear is only slightly more than warm.

Could this be a brake master cylinder issue? I would have thought if that master cylinder was failing the left front brakes would also not be working properly?

Any help is appreciated!

Cheers

Have you jacked the car up on the affected side and applied the handbrake to see if it locks the wheel? If the handbrake wont lock the wheel either then there's more than likely a fault with the caliper itself (not as likely as you have changed the caliper already but worth a check) , due to the piston not extending out from the caliper housing, as the handbrake just uses a lever on the caliper to extend the piston out against the pad.

However if the handbrake locks the wheel then id expect the master cylinder to be at fault, possibly the internal seal has a slight leak and wont hold pressure to that wheel. With it being a tandem circuit you would expect the other side front brake to have the same issue, but as the rear brake line is so much longer and the fluid (in essence) has to travel further the fault would be more apparent on the rear than the front

Yeah I've checked the handbrake and that locks fine so figure it must be the master cylinder. That'll be the next port of call anyway!

I'm hoping it's that, there are no ABS lights on on the dash so fingers crossed that's all fine.

Thanks guys!
