rear Seat bolts

The rear seat bolts in the clio are they ment to come out?

bassically the place were everyone earths their amps. Gold like colour bolts with a torx head and can use a spanner or socket wrench on them as well.

I can only undo mine so far then they go stiff as out and i cant do nothing with it. so its makin it a bit impossible to clean paint off and things for a earth?

any ideas?

thats a rubbish place to earth anyway due to the amount of Paint renault cover the area in.

Best bet is to make your own earthing point. I lifted up the carpet by the side of the spare wheel well right near the edge of the car. Drilled a hole there, sanded back the paint and shoved a nut and bolt through securing the earth. Make sure you drill in a place thats accessible from under the car to tighten the nut.

Much better option than the seatbelt mount trick. And yeah, i could only undo mine half way too

dont think its a seat belt mount it holds down like a big bar accross the back seat. but yeh alot of paint all the same. two big gold bolts. ive thought about makin my own but its were to drill. nd dont like drillin into the body of my car lol

if its done properly you wont have a problem.

well were abouts did you earth it then were you cud get a nut on the bolt that you put through the hole.

if lookin at the back of the car steering wheel on your right did you drill on the right hand side ofthe spare wheel or the left hand side? bit worry about drillin through and hitting sommet else on way through

right hand side... about an inch from the edge of the car, 3 inches from the back.

i can get you a picture tomorrow.
