Rear seats - aaarggh!

Car  Silver Clio 172 Cup
OK, Cup 172 - easy to get the rear seat base out, but what about the seat backrest thingy?

I've searched and there's guides on how to do it for normal clios with a 60/40 split, but the Cup just has the cruddy one piece backrest. How do you get it out of the car?

Cheers

Tom

1. Remove the bottom bit
2. In the boot remove the plastic cover and Isofix bar underneath it, at base of seat
3. In the boot note in middle base of seat is a small metal brackett this hooks over a torx bolt in the floor. Either remove torx bolt and loosen - pushing bracket forwards and thus sliding off the bolt.
4. Put rear seats down
5. Pull up in area around the hinges on either side

Ta-Da!

Bench bit at the bottom lifts straight out. To get the upright back out you have to undo the metal bar behind the seat is the boot (covered in a bit of black plastic just at the bottom right behind the seats in the boot area, two hex bolts) once this is out you have to shimmy the upright seat bit out as its held in by a bar either end which slots into an s shaped holder on the car (allowing them to pivot forward)

Not the most technical description but once the black bar in the boot is out its easy to see.

Beat me to it and better described!

the seats are soooo easy to remove mine usually fall out when i'm trying to fold them down, when the base is up on its hinge push it back towards flat slightly and lift up there's a kink on the hinge and they just lift straight out. mine are on the floor beside me right now. Never taken the backs out though.

im sure there's a mk2 interior removal guide written by eviljohn?

3 bolts and out they come, took all of 10 mins to strip the boot floor and rear bench before pod at the weekend
