rear shocks advice needed

hi all


i am currently in need of a rear shock for the iceberg 172. my mate said he has had normal clio shocks to his clio and they ran fine.

my question is will they run okay on normal shocks and if so will i need a pair or can i just buy 1

failing that where is the best place to get cheap rear shocks from??

Get a pair of proper 172 ones from renault.

Ditto. Renault do proper uprated ones for the RS cars. And don't just fit one side. You may find the bottom bolts are very tight when you come to change them. Use plenty of penetrating oil and if it goes really tight then work the thread backwards and forwards a bit at a time and don't force it or you risk damaging the bolt or snapping it.
