Rear shocks advice

I have a twingo GT lowered on AP coilovers, but the rear shockers are knocking/rattling so I'm looking at replacing them

I know the standard mk2 clio suspension is the same as the twingo, so I'm wondering:

1. Which rear shockers do people advise?
2. Do I need to change the springs aswell? Or will be AP ones be fine?

Also on the same note, has anyone fitted stiffer springs on the rear?
I think i'll need some more if i want to go any lower and still have people in the back!
