Rear shocks?

Hi all, I've had an issue with my rear tyres scrubbing the arch after fitting v maxx coilovers, I know they are sposed to be soft but,

When I took the rear shocks off yesterday, I tested them next to my standards and found that they are alot softer (easier to push down) but also have NO REBOUND! they just stay at the bottom

Is this right for a v maxx?

Well when it was all fitted to the car, it would sag down too easy at the back with the slightest bit of weight (extra person-skinny or fat) or even pulling away gently causing the tyres to foul the arch!

The standard damper was much stiffer and when pushed down it would 'rebound' where as the v maxx didn't at all!

I know some don't rebound and use the spring to do that job but surely these should work relatively the same as the oem setup just allow more lows?
