rear speakers in mk3

so i'm getting a new head unit tomorrow, decided to see how my "rear speakers" in my new mk3 were, turned the fade to -9 and i get silence. unclip the covers and there's no speakers in the back!
anyone got any suggestions of a half decent set of speakers to put in, also what size etc. i'm getting an alpine ida-x001 tomorrow (hopefully) so the head unit is pretty decent, i've never really bought new speakers apart from a couple of subs (my previous car had new alpines in already when i got it).
but anyway suggestions would be awesome! thanks!

Depending on budget and they are 13cm speaker....

hmm, prolley about 30-40quid atm.
anyone got any that they have in their car to reccommend around this price with good sq?

maybe go up to about 60quid but depends on what people think i should do, i really dont know fa about speakers D:

Pick a well know brand like Vibe, JBL, Focal etc.

Or match them with your headunit, choice is yours.

For the money you can get better SQ from un amped ones. As i assume you dnt want to externally amp these....

Thats a high efficiency set of drivers and so will sound best powered by a headunit!
