Rear speakers...please help asap am stuck!

Hey guys. I am fitting some rear speakers for my mate in his 1.2 16v extreme mk2. As you are all aware they don't come fitted from standard so I was unsure as to whether there would be wires in place for them.

Therefore, I first checked the speaker plug going into the rear of the headunit...

As you can see...all 8 of the speaker 'holes' have wires coming from them. So...therefore I presume 4 are for the front and 4 are for the rear?!?! Also...the two on the right hand side colour match with the front passenger side door speaker wires (purple/yellow and peach/purple).

I have read many topics on this and most of them concluded that the rear speaker cables were taped to the rear loom behind the door card but I can't seem to find these...

As you can see I have taken the rear seats out, cards and everythign. But from the pics it doesn't seem like there are any speaker cables there?! Yet there are some coming from the headunit!!

I am a little stuck now, what do you recon?

so they dont have ANY speakers in the back at all???
god thats bad.
Wire your own in, and get some better quality wire. That'd be my solution

thats wierd ive got the poverty spec one and mines got rear speakers :S

Yer I knew it didn't have rear speakers guys. Most don't...

The wierd thing is...it has the rear speaker wires coming from the headunit but they dont seem to be coming out on the loom at the rear?!

I heard you either had rear speakers in, no rear speakers at all but the wire in place, or nothing at all. Thats why I am confused as the wires are coming from the headunit for the rear (as first picture) BUT they dont seem to be attached to the rear loom.

i havent poked around my 172ph2 interior yet.....you sure there isnt space for speakers to the left and right of the parcel shelf (like on Mk1s) you may find something there

There is space by the rear shelf and in the rear cards (under the windows) but there are no wires by either...

Ahhh where are they! LOL.

mynes a exteme model, yea no speakers in the rear, bit jippo! so i just scotch locked some wires on2 the block coming out of the headunit and ran them down to the back, only took about 20 mins.

i also hav this prob on my mk2 57 plate clio, i have 8 connections, are the wires located in the rear speaker hole sumwher or do i have 2 wire up new cable??

ne1 help plz ?

The loom up front is standard I believe, the rear speakers if not fitted will not have the second part of the loom added as I understand it.

Oh and the grilles under the windows by the parcel shelf are air vents, not speaker mounts!
