Rear window heat lines

Do you have a digital multimeter?
If so, you could apply each electrode (or whatever they're called) to where the wires join the rear window element, to see if it's getting current to the rear window but not getting it across the element. If there is current getting to it, it might be that there's a break in the element, which could be repaired with that metal paint stuff.
