Rear wiper comes on in reverse

Just got the ph2 172, is this normal?

Also, theres a loud clicking on the passenger side everytime something electrical happens, like when i 'wind' the windows down, is this normal?

dont the rears come on in reverse if you have the fronts on

i thought this too! wen i first got it and put it in reverse the rear wiper came on and i instantly thought french electrical gremlins. but then i remembered its not quite too bad and at least its not a peugeot. guess its supposed to do it and yes those relays are loud as fcuk

Rear wiper is annoying as hell, as you know that one wipe will smear the hell out of the rear window.

I end up turning the front off while I'm reversing and then back on when I go forward, hardly need the back one on anyway.

i have to reverse outa my drive, and i always forget about the reverse wipe!!i hate using it, and all the muck from roads covers the window!!bloody annoying!!and even that once makes the car look a mess

It's quite an odd function....why not just leave it to the driver to decide wether the wiper needs to be on or not, like people are saying, makes a bloody mess sometimes.

On my 172 if you turn the wipers to the off position, the rear doesnt auto wipe when you reverse. Ive only just realised this tho in about a week of ownership, as i couldnt stand the horrid noise the rear wiper made on a dry screen.. eek!!
