Rear wiper removal

  Titanium 182
I've seen around a few Clio that have been removing the back windscreen wiper arm and leaving it blank, I've been looking at how to do this but I can't quite get around it.

after living a flap under the wiper arm there is a bolt, is it a matter of unscrewing that because I tried and it seems to be on really tight or is there another way to do this?

Do a search, but essentially you put a 17mm spanner between the end of the bolt, and the wiper arm, and then undo the nut with a 13mm. It acts like a puller, as the bolt comes off, it will push into the 17mm spanner and pull the wiper off with it.
After a getting it off a bit, I was able to just unscrew my wiper off the thread.

This will leave you with the wiper motor poking out the back, remove the interior boot trim, and then remove the wiper motor.

It will probably have been bonded onto the bolt too. Mine was a right f**ker to get off and had to get a specific de wiper tool.

I had a similar problem with my front wipers the other week. The middle two bolts came off quite easily with the removal tool - but the passenger side blade was an absolute b*****d to get off.

Leave it on. I never understand why people take then off, its looks rubish/silly and the kind of thing someone who hangs a teddy from their bumper would do. Imo.

I had a look at the removal tools for it but it seems pointless to get one just to use it once, I just think it looks neater, might have a go at the spanner and 13mm method. Cheers.

I put a little grommet in the hole left by the spindle, then bought some carbon vinyl and wrapped it myself.
Considering i can't even wrap a christmas present or school textbook, i figured i did alright! Only a couple of creases :)

I'm looking to replace the black plastic surround, and not looking forward to removing the wiper arm. Any recent tips discovered apart from the 17mm and 13mm spanners?
