Ive just brought some recaro's from an Accord Type R. I no i will need the clio subframes but i cant seem to find them on any websites!!
Am i going mad or are they just hard to find?

And when i get round to fitting them will i need to get under the car as ive herd to remove the seats you need to undo a bolt by/around the heat shield which sounds like the cat might have to come out? or is that just to remove the rails?

I think alot of people go down the custom route... Expensive though.

Pass on removing them though!

To get the seats out just get a deep socket and extension bar. There is holes in the heat shield to allow access to the bolts. One is particualy a pain, just spray some WD40 on them before you try to take them off.

Custom is the best bet tbh.

Thats ridiculous. How about buy one, take it to a local engineerring/welding company get them to make an exact replica for passenger side? Work out abit cheaper i guess

Not a bad idea.. it is a lot for a small piece of metal! the seats come with the Honda subframes so not sure if they are any wider than the clio ones could always just power some holes through the old frames so they fit

Have a look and a think. Obviously you want to do it cheap, with out sacrificing looks, heigh and most importantly safety.

Take the seats off the runners, make up a subframe with cardboard, take to fabricator and get some made for about £50. That's what I did - fcuk paying £250 for some bits of metal!!

4 bolts to remove them. Two on each side. (per seat) No need to remove cat.
Its removing the connectors/wires thats the pain!

Deep 13mm and an extension, unless your cars slammed you won't even have to jack it up unless your arms are stupidly short lol
