how much would a decent recon 172 engine cost me??

just wondering what to do now after cambelt gone.

have been quoted between 8-900 quid if all valves are gone.

that sound too much??

as long as the piston are ok just repair the head or whack on a second hand head should be less than £1K

just get the head repaired that's not a bad price the last one we did come to around £1k and your going to spend that much buy and having a second hand engine fitted
