Recovering deleted images from a mobile?

I have a nokia 6630 that I had some images on which I deleted recently. I had them on my PC but my hard drive blew up. The images were stored on the memory card rather than the phone so I wondered if there was a way of recovering the data?

The images are of my best freind who died on wednesday so obviously any help on this would be greatly appreciated as they would be the last pics of him and I'd really like to get them for his family.
