Recovering Files...Please read

Basically my home computer died so i lost all of my Music etc. I'm not very technical so i'm not sure what happened but it got sent off and when we got it back it was just blank. Nothing. Its quite annoying but if i have to i'll live with it...

But my step dad says our computer has two hard drives and he's sure everything was backed up to the other before it crashed? I dont know much so not sure if this is possible? If so, how would i access it? Surely it'd be in my computer or whatever? I also just tryed the search thing and searched some track names and it found nothing?

What do you think? Gone forever?

Download ontrack easy recovery professional and you should be able to do a scan of your hard drive for deleted/formatted files etc

Doesnt mean much to me mate. Any way i can look if i have two hard drives?

If it were present it should be showing there. You may have had the disk previously partitioned into two. Sounds like the repair people wiped it. Nice of them..

Ok mate. Thanks! Well my step dad says it deffo has two so guess they have!

if you run the following it will should you exactly whats there or can be seen:

Start -> Run -> diskmgmt.msc

It says there is 190GB free from 200. I take its not on there. Doesnt mention another drive either..

I had the same thing happen to me a while back.
I downloaded Easy OnTrack Recovery Professional cheaply somewhere on the internet......

Very easy to use, simply select the drive you want to look at and all your old files are there, all you then do is copy them back to the desired place.
