redex petrol treatment

gonna fill up in a bit with good old optimax just wondering if theres any point sticking some of that redex petrol treatment in sounds pretty good Cleans and lubricates cylinders and carburettors. Removes fuel-wasting carbon and gum deposits. Improves engine efficiency and petrol consumption. what do ya think?

by the way its a mark II 172 on 30,000miles

Think additives in petrol are good for keeping things clean but over time injectors etc wil need a proper cleaning. Additives like Redex will help. Should do every 6K miles or so.

STP, Wynns, Slick 50, Redline are also good fuel system cleaners. Try and see if it makes a difference but I am sure you will find it does.

its worth doing, even if you dont notice an immediate difference, if you use them every 6k or so, it should keep your injectors cleaner for longer
