Reducing Understeer

anything that can be done to help reduce it, i have brand new tyres on, still understeering...bearing in mind my car is extremely low which probably doesnt help it out handling wise, but i have avo coilovers coming tommorow, and koni rear shocks so that should help...

what tyre pressures are best to run on 175/50/13 tyres?

thanks

Raise the front tyre pressure and drop the back. Try something like 32psi in the front and 26psi in the back. Stiffen the rear shocks.

RWD conversion? lol

Raise the rear up a bit, maybe 60mm at front and 50mm on the rear.

i thought it was reduce it at the front and more in the back making the tyres harder at the back and making front tyres more soft?

Harder pressures on the front mean less grip, lower pressures on the back mean more grip = even more understeer.

I agree with Batman - do it the other way round.

yup, I was going to say that batman. My 1.4 was always a total b**ch for understeer in the wet, but usually not too bad in the dry. What tyred you have can make a big difference. When I had the 15's on with s**t tyres the understeer was much worse in the wet than with the 13's.

yeah agree with batman. if you raise the front pressure more than the rear then we'll see you in a ditch mate!
