Reflex Silver MK6 Golf GTI Edition35 Protection Detail

  E46 M3 & UR Quattro
Hey Guys,

I had a call a few weeks back to protect this lovely MK6 Golf GTI Edition 35 for winter.

This is 1 of just 2 Edition 35's registered in the UK in Reflex Silver, so it's a pretty rare car especially in this spec.

The car was purchased new by the owner and has only covered 13,000 miles so wasn't expecting anything too serious.

A few photos upon arrival..

I hate VAG stuff for how easy it is to get relatively large power out them, Whats that a map and intake on this?

If i had far to much money to play with i would seriously consider putting the 2.0 tfsi in my Megane just for the craic

My bad, Im thinking of it in the Leon cupra/Golf R/S3

Not sure what the difference it with the GTi's to them,

As above they are 235bhp the Edition 35's.. Remap takes them to over 300 straight out the box. Easy power!

Thanks man, was pretty pleased with the finish.. Ideally would have preferred to apply Rejuvenate via DA but it's all down to time with these short days.

Reload is really growing on me, definitely on par with C2V3 for me at the moment!

Rejuvenate is a good product, via an MF pad it can seriously pull some dirt out the paint.

Looks mint!! A lot of GTechniq stuff used too, how do you rate their cleaners like the fallout remover? They're known for coatings and haven't had much experience with cleaners.

Thanks pal!

The G-Techniq W range is pretty new so I'm still working my way through the items. Very impressed with their citrus pre-wash, bug remover and snow foam, some of the best on the market IMO!

The Glue/Tar remover turned up today so haven't had chance to use that yet.

Looks lovely that, i wouldnt have parked it on mud after that effort tho :tongueclosed:

Unfortunately, although I own the garage the land is owned by the local council and they won't let me put any stone chipping down and refuse to tarmac it. Very frustrating as once it's got wet it turns really muddy.

Echo the questions over W6 @Lawro ? Just put in a big new car detail order with CYC and opted for a litre of iron x over w6...

To be 100% honest mate, that is the first time I have used it and the car had very minimal fallout so wouldn't be comfortable giving a review yet. First impressions are good, it seems to perform quickly and effectively from what I have seen so far. It's priced well too!

As above, W4 and the Citrus Cleaner are brilliant!

A car that actually looks worthy of representing 35 years of the true icon that is (or was) the GTi!!!

VW have been making anniversary editions of pretty much all Golfs. None of them look much different to the normal GTi models but have subtle differences. I.e. interior, wheels, sometimes more power.
Did you see how much different the 20th anniversary clio looked?

Oh look, it looks the same. (other than subtle changes) :D

Very true mate but still looks too ordinary for my liking but of course that's just my opinion.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Golf's generally are subtle.. I have always found them a bit 'bland' but I did really like this.

It does everything really well without needing to shout about it, I personally prefer that about a car. If you want something 'shouty' the FRS would be for you, I personally find them ghastly things.
