Reg plates from Fancyplates?

Wow, massive response to my suggestion, I'm clearly onto something here. Magnetic tape may be too strong anyway - could pull the reflective backing off the plate.

I have 1 dot on each end of the number plate, plates have held on fine, no sign of them coming off so far

What sort of discount do paid up members get from fancy plates? Says in the discount section on here that there is a discount section on the fancy plate site?

Never made myself known on here before, but finally have something to add. Was wondering - what about using magnetic tape for number plates? (Ok so it's not the idea of the Century.) I'm amazed Velcro works, although it must do otherwise nobody would use it - you'd think the rear plate would get pulled off with the drag at higher speeds.

Not really dude, hardly any air will get between the 2-3mm between the plate and the car.

Are these 520x90 legal plates? Can't work out if the letters are standard size from my iPhone!!

From what I've read they are illegal. However, as the look legal no-one seems to get any hassle.

If your plate is of daft small size then you will get attention off cops. If your plates are in a different font, you will get attention off cops.
Havin mm's taken off the border so that it fits the gap spot on is fine. Now I'm talking about cops from Lancashire, other constabularys might be different but they tend to look out for chavs with the tiny plates or if you have a stupid font.

Yeah I mean the ones that completely fill the recess - look so much neater than standard plates!
