Reliable Laser Printers

  RS6 C7
Hi,

I'm looking for a reliable laser printer, I have 2 at the minute but they seem to start printing blank pages after printing 20 or so pages in a row.

I need to print 50 ish pages continually every day and I'm getting really frustrated with having to keep reprinting a messing about.

I don't want to spend too much but if it's going to work right i will!

Cheers for any help, I know a fair few of you work in offices!

Hmmm, that's wierd.

I have had brother laser printers the last couple of times, got an ethernet duplex one from staples 6 months ago for £80 and it's superb. Never had any problems printing lots in one go with any of the brother/samsung models I have owned tbh.

I have a Samsung and an old HP, I might go for the Duplex one then :) Cheers man!

I thought it was software at first but iv'e tried on several computers now with the same printers and also tried using different sources to print and it made no difference :(

Will purchase that now i think, Thanks again mate! Hopefully it will work.

Get one of the old hp 4000 series printers. Easy to refill yourself and no bloody chips to worry about.

Alternatively some new Samsung wireless lasers firmware can be cracked to stop page counts and you just refill when you like.

On the brother I linked to you can just tell it to keep printing when on low toner rather than stopping in the settings, I only found out after replacing the cartridge.

HP P2055dn printers are pretty much bomb-proof. They are end of life now, so you might be able to pickup a bargain on eBay?

Much larger - go hero-spec on a HP Laserjet 9040. It's effectively a rebadged Canon printer and ours at work is still churning out prints regularly on a daily basis - 8 years old and 1.3million prints. Might be a bit excessive for home usage though! ;)
