Remake or Sequel

Yes, yes, and yes! Not heard of Black Tiger? Was that a console game?
Glad you agree, mate! :D

Black Tiger (aka Black Dragon in Japan) was a 2D arcade game from Capcom - late 1980's. Think of Ghost 'n' Goblins but with much larger levels and more free-form exploration through the levels. It looked quite good for the time. A port was made onto home computers of that era - such as Amstrad CPC, C64, Atari ST and Commodore Amiga.

Shadow of the Beast... I wonder how they'd remake that nowadays?

Best wrestling game ever. I'd forgotten just how many wrestlers and match types were in this

Wasn't attitude better Scutch?

First one with blood and a great create a wrestler mode?

  Lotus Exige, 182
Tie Fighter and/or Freespace 3 - love space sims
+1 for Syndicate - new version (c)ould be awesome
+ 1 for Elite also (I liked frontier: Elite 2 though). Braben apparently has to finish off the Outsider first, which is taking almost as long as Duke Nukem Forever...

I'd like to see modern remakes of:
  • Stunt Car Racer
  • Dungeon Master
  • Black Tiger
  • System Shock
...and quite a few others.

I've been waiting ages for this. Could it actually happen? I've just played a concept demo (available on Steam) of the remake... I hope it doesn't disappoint. Assuming it sees the light of day! Here's a bit of footage I recorded from the demo.

I thought there was a Shadow of the Beast remake / sequel which was out or coming out on PS4?

Yeah Streets of Rage was awesome - the issue is that re-doing a side scrolling action beat em up seems quite a nice idea. But having said that, things like Street Fighter is still going strong and they have attempted to re-do Sonic about 100 times (seriously, Sonic just needs to be rested IMO - there hasn't been a really good one for nearly 20 years now!)

Yeah, it came out earlier this year (May) on PS4 and used the Unreal Engine. Back in 2010 (when I posted) it was but a glint in the developer's eye. Or something. Maybe! :)

Dizzy is worthy of a remake, would make an excellent game for kids.

There's a pub in High Wycombe that has a Mega Drive, and Speedball, to be played on a huge screen. It's epic

They need to release killzone 2, exactly how it was on the ps3 , same mechanics, same ranking system just better graphics and maybe more players on the bigger maps. It was a perfect multiplayer game imo.

There's quite a few fan creations and 'remakes' (http://www.yolkfolk.com/site/index.php) but a professional quality version of the originals would be fantastic. I might be a bit biased though as I'm friends with the Oliver Twins who created and wrote Dizzy; they were kind enough to give me my break in the games industry back in the late 1990's and we've kept in touch since. It was a bit strange working for my idols! LOL! :tonguewink:😊

Carmageddon was a good shout, have to be Carmageddon 2 for me, epic EPIC game! Sooo many hours of enjoyment!!!! Final Fantasy 7 (although this is actually in production) but I think I'd do it differently than how its being made, can see me not liking it), Final Fantasy 9 which would be an awesome game to remake, Goldeneye also another great shout!

Can I get a remastered version of Fallout 4? Or is that going to be Bethesda's 2018 big shout?

Actually though, someone redo Defender of the Crown

Showing your age there m8! If we're going down the Cinemaware route, I'd love a revamp of Rocket Ranger and It Came from The Desert.

They did a rehash of Wings! on Steam recently and it's very faithful to the original game. Played that thing to death on the Amiga.
