I was thinking about remapping my 1.5 Diesel but it seems pretty pointless to be honest.

I'd either be spending £200 for an extra 30bhp or try doing it myself and failing miserably. Without a rolling road you'll never get a good idea of whether the remapping did any good or not...unless your friend is a mad expret at this type of thing...
