now thats what im talking about many thanks mate,im now alot more informed! rs tuning is that were you are cos leeds isnt that far away at all 45mins.thanks againAll the above are just about the same. I will explain:
Superchips:
Superchips are a BRAND of chiptuning (weather OBD or physical chip change) This is a modified version on the OEM software and loaded back to the ECU. Usually known as "off the shelf"
Group N:
Again a standard OEM software which was modified to suit basic breathing mods, this usually comes in the form of a complete ECU which will auto pair to your UCH when powered. There are many "Group N" remaps on the market but IMO most are just custom software and not an official Group N.
Remaps:
In theory a remap is a custom emulation of the stock software and changed in realtime while running the car from the laptop.
This is not really the case on most forums and other info sites on the net. Instead these are called "live remap" Great if done correctly but expect to pay big money for the right one and it should take at least a full day!
The term people usually use for remap is a custom modification made to the OEM software to suit specific mods which is tailored to each and every vehicle. Very good results if done properly and you can even change the map to suit more major mods such as cams.
The latter method is the one we ususally use and find the most efficient and cost effective for the end user!
Cheers
Paul
