Remove Gear Knob

Ive ordered a renault sport gear knob (Silver/chrome one) and need to get my origional off in one peice, to sell on ebay. how does it come off?

Youll have to heat it and hope the glue softens enough to pull it off It will be hard tho...

2. get the hacksaw out.

PMSL I was thinking of putting that , after trying for an hour or so to soften the glue this is what he would end up doing anyway

The silver one ive bought or the black one that im gonna try get out my car before the saw gets to it?

I got the silver one from ebay and the black one that cames in 1.2 clio (52 plate) is a standard 5 gear lift reverse one.

hi mate,

ive done this, altho i replaced it with a momo one. i actually wrote a little guide for it. The general feedback was that it either comes off first time using mole grips and brute force, or it doesnt come off at all.
