Are the timing tools needed when putting everything back together?

i use timing tools for taking it apart too.

How easy depends on your skill and knowledge. If you're ok at manual labour and have a decent knowledge of engines, it's straightforward enough. If not, pay someone, it'll be cheaper than ruining it
