Removing a Pioneer Headunit

Pioneer headunits come with their own headunit removal keys. Should of come in the box.

the first clips there are a waste of money from halfords, may sound like a cheapo but just get a metal coat hanger bend it into the U shape and just use dem, they work :) and saves you the money.
 
Good luck! I was told there are 4 different Pioneer keys, we couldn't get the ones for my girlfriends brothers car so had to literally beat the shite out of the centre console to get behind the dash and push the whole cage out.

The car had been written off anyway, but he paid halfords to fit the stereo and they nicked the release keys! the car is in scrap heaven now, but be warned that they might not fit.
 
Don't worry peeps, they fitted and it came straight out!

Just got to try to wire my Alpine HU in now lol.
