Removing badges

I was thinking of de-badging the boot so was just wondering if anybody knows if there set in holes or are they just stuck on ???

they have 2 pins that go into the bodywork which need to be smoothed over

you can just remove the badgers with a credit card or similar flat object being careful not to damage the paintwork

Removed the Renault Sport badges on the left from my 172 but as bambam says, removing the Clio one will involve a trip to the sprayers! Shame.

i wonder if the only reason the locating lugs are there is to stop the french workers putting the badge on the piss !! kinda reassuring to know yer car was put together well eh !!....not !

heat the renault and sport badges up with a hair dryer, this softens the glue, use a plastic implement to gently prise them off gradually. Clio badge annoyed me as I tryed to take that off last!!!! didnt expect that from renault.!!

Right you can take the badge off as described above, the you put a piece of masking tape over over the holes and cut the holes out of the masking tape with a sharp knife, grab a few 1ps and super glue them on the inside of the boot covering the holes, then use a little bit of filla being careful not to over fill the holes you want the filla sitting a little bit below the surface so you can build the rest of it up with a few layers of paint allowing it to dry between layers then when it is finally dry go over it with some coloured t-cut and voila!!

Well it worked fine on my last escort you couldnt even see where they were!
