Removing centre caps

Car  Renault Clio 182 Trophy
Can anyone let me know if I need to take my wheels off to remove the centre caps., or can this be done with them still on the car?

Need to remove them to paint them so they match my new wheels.

Wheels they're on are the "standard" Clio 200 ones.

Thanks

You've Got two options either remove the wheels and push them out.

Or you can try and pick them out with a sharp knife or something Like that.

Personally I think it better to do the first option as theirs less chance of damaging the wheel or centre cap.

as above, sometimes you can get them out if theres enough of a gap, but for the sake of 10 mins removing the wheel, its not worth breaking the cap or damaging the wheel risking it imo
