Removing door panel Window stuck

How easy is it to remove the door panel on a MK1 172? Tried to put the window up the other day but it didnt move. I can hear the motor when I press the button so wanted to check if the glass has fallen out or if the cable has snapped.

You have to unscrew the handle and door grab and disconnect the window switches. Also remove the speaker and disconnect it. Then remove the panel over the back of the mirror and teh one going up the door.

Then unscrew the 4 screws at the bottom of the doorcard and start pulling it off. There is a lot of black sticky stuff and a few plastic clips so be careful when doing this but you do need to use some force.

Btw most likely the window regulator, heard of it a couple of times on clios

Whats a window regulator? And can I replace it myself? If not, whats the name in German?!?!?

Its the motor with the wire that moves the window up and down. Its just a few bolt so quite easy to replace, best bet is from a scrappies, much cheaper. Not a clue what it is in German, did French at school and didnt even do that very well!
