Removing Gear Knob

theres a gear knob i want down my local breakers but i havnt got the foggiest idea how to get it off, do i just pull and twist? looking at it there isnt any clips or screws or anything. ideas? is from a 182 btw, cheers

as far as i know the only way to get the gear knob top off is to cut it off because they are glued to the top of the gearstick. this is the case with the standard 172 top anyway
