Removing Gearknob

MK 2 PH2. How does it come off? is it threaded or just glued? can i not just saw the gear shaft and have a smaller stick

hacksaw for me.....they're bonded on.....not the shaft tho, just the top takes a bit of time and is a fair old pain in the arse....

try ermm what are those grips called that lock. EDIT: mole grips

spoke to someone the other day, he said he clamped them on proper hard then just twisted and it came off... could be worth a try?

just saw down the top untill u reach a plastic mould this then will come off with sum mole grips!!!
