Removing helper springs.

anybody done this? Does it make a noticable difference to the ride quality because by the looks of it my helper spring is pretty much fully compressed.

IIRC the helper spring is there for when your suspension expands as you are driving over the road surface, it keeps pressure down on the main spring rather than them becoming fully decompressed and moving about
