Removing Immobiliser

Is there any way I can remove this useless peice of crap (mk2 ph1) and still use the car normally. Its been giving me bother, Renault dont know why but I bet it'll be an expensive guessing game! So I'd ratehr switch it off, remove it, burn it just anything that means my car starts when it should! Obviously I'd need to replace with and aftermarket one for insurance so whats a decent oen to go for? Maybe combine it with an alarm.

Could try and get a new on fitted, then ask the fitter if he can remove the old one??

Yeah that would be one way but want to take it off very soon as its crap! Then sort out a new one later on.

Can it not even be temporarily switched off like you could in mk1s?

we can remove the immobolisers on the valvers etc, i dont see why we cant do the 172's etc? I will need to check the coding though

the ecu would need to be sent to us for decoding and then returned.. take a about 3 days.

The Toad Powerkey looks liek a decent one to get.

Think I'll see if Reno will decode it for me on Thursday when its going back in again.
