Removing ph1 side strips

Going to paint my side strips on the ph1

Do they just slide off? Or do you have to prise them off

There's a locating lug and a load of sliders.

Easier to get them off with the door cards off, but doable without.

This. Open the door. Slide door strip towards rear quarter, and rear quater strip twards doo.

BOOM

Phs 1 dont have locating lugs

They can be a bit of a pain at first but once you've had them off once they come off a millions times easier the next time as I found out when I tried running over the misses brother he went to kick my car as I drove past and his foot caught the strip on the door which in turn slid it backwards and it came off where he was stood down the road LOL!

No damage done thank god!
