removing scratches from headlights?



  t3 corolla 116bhp
as per title, looking for the best ways, if there is any, to remove scratches from exterior the plastic headlight lens on mk2ph2 headlight?

you can buy liquid glass but i dno if it will work on the headlights? or you could pay someone to PC them... shouldn'nt charge alot as there only small

that liquid glass comes in a tube and sets when mixed with the air so possibly that.

I sanded mine down and intended to polish up with scratch X.

I sanded the whole headlight though because the sun had put little crackles and glazed them. Scratch X didnt work too well getting it back to form, I used Autosol which was much more abrasive.. then Scratch X ... then SRP. Still dosent look perfect though.

Im waiting till my silverline rotary comes, that should sort them out.

You could sand them lightly and spend ages polishing them up by hand. It works, its just quite time consuming.

Meguiars do a nice plastic polish in there Pro line that may work by hand.

I use Menzerna Intensive Polish and Final Finish by Porter Cable.

Plastex then polish! Works wonders on mobile phone screens and not a bad job of lights either :)
