removing seats, temporarily

hi i need to change 1 seat as it's worn out. is there any procedure as to avoid any airbag lights coming on? Also if that includes disconnecting the battery will my Ecu be ok as the car has been mapped. don't want it to lose it's new map.

The service manual says disconnect the battery for at least 20 minutes to eliminate the possibility of a bag going off. You won't loose your map.

Disconnect battery

Disconnect under seat wires

Remove seat

Re connect wires

Refit seat

Reconnect battery.

Will be fine and your map won't be affected.
