Removing smoke smell from interior

  Formally Clio 182
Had my 182 a couple of weeks now and since then i've noticed that the owner before me must have smoked in the car and as a non-smoker, I simply have to get rid of the smell.

Obviously car air freshners cover up the smell, so some proper cleaning is going to be involved.

Can anyone recommend the best way of doing this?

Thanks

Try some Febreze, actually works really well. Otherwise you can get a defumigator type product which is meant to be good, it even kills of bacteria living in your car which produce bad odours.

The only problem will be the Alcantara in the 182, everything else can be deep cleaned with Megs APC or AG Interior Cleaner. Follow up withy Autoglym Autofresh.

You can't really deep clean and scrub it like everything else in the interior. A wipe over with a damp cloth and maybe some mild interior cleaner is all you can really do and I am not sure that will be enough to remove the smell from that part of things.

go to Lidl or halfords and get an aircon cleaning system, they are ace, you basically run your aircon at full blast and spray the can, halfords sell the comma one which is £12 and the lidle one is £3 and same stuff (essentially anyway), as for the seats no, but i found cleaning the aircon helped a great deal and removed 85% of stink.
