removing stereo

You will need head unit removal tools from halfords or some bent coathanger;)

Shoul be be two round holes on each side which they slot into then just pull out. If not like this, explain what it looks like.

some stereos have tiny grub screws over the holes which are difficult to spot.

If so you need a small allen key

  Mazda 2, MX5 Mk2.5 Sport

just use four wooden kebab scewers in the holes and pull it out

Cheers for the help and advice guys..

The reason Im trying to remove it is not to replace it but because I had my battery changed and now require it decoded.

As I live miles and miles from anywhere that can do this for me, Im forced to deal with a guy who reckons he can give me the code over the net if I can find out the serial number of the unit..

Anyone heard about this before? does it work?
