Removing the ECU (16v/williams)





whilst the engine is out how difficult is it too take the ECU out? i need to take mine out so that i can get the hill power chip done,

a few of you must have done this already,

any advice?

Not a bad job wipers have to come off then peel back engine bay seal rubber othe front of plastic cowling remove the torx head screws open the flap to the jack remove the jack and get your hand inside up towards the screen and lift plastic cowl from clips quite tight though you will then see the bracket that the ECU is mounted under just a few 10mm nuts now and its out when you put it back put it in a plastic bag and seal it with tape as early 16V used to suffer from water getting in their and causing eletrical problems.
